What are you currently doing?

Katie currently stars in the critically acclaimed Warner Bros animated feature “Storks” as the voice of “Tulip”, alongside Andy Samberg and Jennifer Aniston, and has been referred to as a “TV animation MVP” by Rolling Stone Magazine. Her role as "Tulip" has earned her a 2017 Annie Award Nomination for Best Voice Performance In An Animated Feature. In addition to “Storks”, Crown voices lead characters in a number of animated series including “Clarence”, “Total Drama Island”, “Barbie, Life in the Dreamhouse”, “Adventure Time”, “American Dad”, and “Bob’s Burgers”. Katie has written for “Clarence”, “Sanjay & Craig”, “Star Vs. The Forces Of Evil” and “Nathan For You”, and has appeared on "CONAN", "Last Call With Carson Daily", "The Nerdist", "Kroll Show", and most recently "Flaked". Katie was listed in LA Weekly’s Top 10 Comics to Watch in 2012, and is one of the founding members of the Laugh Sabbath collective in Toronto. In addition to voice acting, Crown is developing her own animated series with Nickelodeon.
 

What did receiving the Tim Sims Encouragement Fund Award mean to you? 

Winning the Tim Sims award was an incredibly validating experience. It increased my confidence as a comedian and made me take performing more seriously. The award money also helped me stop living on a friend's couch and get my first apartment. I am very honoured to be a recipient! Thanks guys!
