Douglas James Dales Fund

Fresh out of college, Douglas James Dales founded PS Production Services Ltd., a company that grew nationally to become one of Canada’s leading professional motion picture rental operations. Doug’s devotion and love for his industry earned him respect, as did his tireless volunteer work on the boards of many industry organizations, including the Canadian Film & Television Production Association, the Canadian Film Centre and president of Reel Canada.  He was an inspirational leader, and his untimely passing was a great loss to the Canadian film and television industry.

In honour of Doug’s commitment and passion for the film industry, his sister Heather and his sons Robert, David and Matthew established the Douglas James Dales Fund, a tribute to Doug’s generosity and goodwill. The fund offers financial support to organizations with which Doug had a close association during his lifetime:  the Actor’s Fund of Canada, Reel Canada, and Sheridan College—Advanced TV and Film Program.
