About the Ontario Arts Foundation

Raj Kothari, FCPA, FCA, MBA

Raj served as Vice Chair of PwC Canada and was Managing Partner for the Greater Toronto area for PwC LLP. At PwC he was also the National Asset and Wealth Management Practice Leader in Canada.

His professional and business experience spans India, UK and Canada in the areas of business assurance and advisory services, transaction support services, valuation services to Asset Management Companies and advisory services to small and large clients in a variety of businesses.

Raj currently chairs the board of the Toronto General & Western Hospital Foundation and serves as an ex officio member of the UHN Board of Trustees. Raj also serves on the boards of Soulpepper Theatre, the Aga Khan Museum, and the Ontario Arts Foundation.

Raj has served as President of Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce, and on various other boards including Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship, Duke of Edinburgh Awards - Ontario, Students in Free Enterprise-Canada , Pearson College of the Pacific, the Stratford Festival of Canada, the Stratford Festival Foundation and the Toronto Board of Trade. Raj was also a member of the International Advisory Council of the Dean of the Schulich School of Business. He chaired the Stratford Express, Stratford's single largest fund-raising event in 2008 and 2009 and was also chair of the campaign to raise funds for the exhibition, "India, The Living Arts" at the Canadian Museum of Civilization in Ottawa in 2000/2001. He has also, for six years chaired “Diwali, A Night To Shine” gala for UHN and raised in excess of net $7.5 million.
